Super Smash Brothers Brawl fastest selling Nintendo game ever in USA

There was no doubt that Super Smash Brothers was going to do well on the Wii ... seeing as though Melee was the Gamecube’s most popular game ... and it did not disappoint.
Nintendo of America is reporting that they’ve sold 1.4 million copies in a week and 874,000 of those being on day one. These numbers make for the fastest selling Nintendo game of all time in the United States. I’ll have to do some research ... but I also think this may be in the top 5 total. (Halo 2, Halo 3, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas?)
Anyway ... good for Smash Brothers Brawl ... because it is truly a great game for a system that needed one. I think this game might have some legs as well and will probably outsell Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess.

Well, it didn’t beat Halo 3’s opening day sales, but it still did really well. Looks like I lost my bet.
