Headshot Radio episode 40 marks a brand new era of our show. We’ve examined the strengths and weaknesses of the show and hopefully made it even more enjoyable. We’ve takes out some segments, added a segment, and basically just cleaned house a bit. This is a really busy time of the yar for video game news, so thats we we thought now would be a great time to really shake things up! Apr 15 ... Wii Fit to Cost $90 in America

Nowadays, we have to rely on the good old fashioned method of picking a market-appropriate price point.

Apr 12 ... Dan "Shoe" Hsu Leaves Ziff Davis
Story Courtesy of joystiq.com ... Ziff Davis announced today that Dan "Shoe" Hsu, former editor-in-chief of Electronic Gaming Monthly, will be leaving Ziff Davis "to pursue personal interests." Site Director Sam Kennedy will be taking over Hsu's current role as Editorial Director of 1UP Networks.

Apr 12 ... Super Mario Sluggers Revealed
Story Courtesy of 1up.com ... Nintendo of America demonstrated Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii at its San Francisco media summit today. The title, which is expected to launch in Japan this June and at an undisclosed date in North America, uses the Wii Remote's motion controls to mimic the in-game actions of the sport, much like in Wii Sports.

Apr 10 ... Games For Windows Magazine Moves Online

This morning the 1UP Network, in conjunction with Microsoft, announced that Games for Windows: The Official Magazine will be transitioning from a print publication to an online-exclusive destination here on 1UP.com. The move is being done to help focus our efforts to where PC gamers spend most of their time: on their PCs. Over the next few weeks 1UP will be ramping up its efforts to become the premiere destination for PC gaming content on the web.

Apr 10 ... Gears Of War 2 Details Revealed

Great news, the cover story Game Informer is Gears of War 2 and we have some new details from the game thanks to a member of the NeoGaF Forums. While Cole and Baird are still a big part of the story, they won’t be attached to Delta Squad as the new game opens. The reunion with those popular characters will have some lead up first, and until then, you’ll be meeting some new personalities.

Apr 10 ... Xbox 360 Version Of Wii Remote Has Been In Development Since Summer

If everything goes according to plan, Microsoft's response to Nintendo's Wii will appear before the end of the year, a developer who has been briefed on the project told MTV News. The Xbox 360 manufacturer has been working on its own version of the motion-controlled Wii remote since last summer, the developer said.

Apr 8 ... Scoop ... New Lost Odyssey DLC coming to Japan on April 10.
Reading Famitsu’s Japanese site the other day, I found that on April 10th, the Japanese version of Lost Odyssey will be getting a 400 MS point ($5) addition at the Xbox Live store. The content includes a new rare item, new boss encounter, and requires the player to be on disc four, after retrieving the White Boa.

Mar 21 ... Guitar Hero: On Tour ... This may actually work.
I am a major Rock Band fan-boy ... one that has kind of left the Guitar Hero franchise in the dust. However ... when I saw the peripheral for the DS version of GH ... I thought “hell yeah ... that looks decent.”

Mar 20 ... Rock Band DLC hits 6 million ... Harmonix says that it will get even better.
Harmonix has to feel like the king of the world with how successful their DLC initiative has been with Rock Band. They just recently had their 6 millionth download ... which equals about 11 million dollars from ADDITIONAL content. When they said they weren’t fucking around ... they weren’t kidding.

Mar 18 ... Super Smash Brothers Brawl fastest selling Nintendo Game Ever.
There was no doubt that Super Smash Brothers was going to do well on the Wii ... seeing as though Melee was the Gamecube’s most popular game ... and it did not disappoint.Nintendo of America is reporting that they’ve sold 1.4 million copies in a week and 874,000 of those being on day one. These numbers make for the fastest selling Nintendo game of all time in the United States.

Mar 17 ... ACER to get into the Console Market?
I’m not sure how reliable this story is ... or if it is more than a statement that someone said ... but it’s worth laugh. ACER getting into the console market seems like it would be a disaster. Let’s face it ... in the past ACER basically equals ASS.

Feb 28 ... Metal Gear Solid 4 Gets Release Date
HEADLINE: It looks like the 1st killer app for the PS3 is finally getting a release date ... all be it about six months behind schedule. The game is set to hit stores June 12 . A summer release is strange for a AAA game ... but probably a really smart move as we’ve seen in the past couple of years.

Feb 28 ... Capcom getting sued over Dead Rising
HEADLINE: Capcom tried to head off the legal advances ... but they are being sued by one of my favorite horror directors and writers of all time ... and I’ll bet you can guess why. I think it has something to do with the fact that Dead Rising takes place in a Mall ... the main setting of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.

Feb 26 ... Phil Harrison Calls It Quits
HEADLINE: Phil Harrison has decided to resign from his position of “Worldwide Studios President” at Sony. This is strange news after hearing that Sony has basically won the format war. Harrison has been with Sony since 1992 and Kaz Hirai will be stepping in to the vacant position.

Feb 26 ... Microsoft Officially Throws in the HD-DVD Towel
HEADLINE: Microsoft is discontinuing their HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox 360... what does this mean for the average gamer? Well ... as strange as this is to put this in text ... but the Playstation 3 is probably the best deal on the gaming market right now. You’re getting an insanely powerful system ... a high-definition disc player ... and lot of great games coming or on the market.
