MIKE ................................
(Mr. One Step)
"Does Buff Bagwell work here? "
Mike is the godfather of Headshot Radio in the sense that he is in complete control of everything. Due to his extremely simple job, he had a lot of time to listen to podcasts and after a while he looked at the already flooded market of videogame podcasts and dared to say "Hey ... me too!" With that he started "The Rundown on Video Games" and "Michigan Sports Show." The former became Headshot Radio and the later is much more successful with over 200 listeners per show.
Mike has been playing games since he was 5 years old with his brother's old Atari 4200 ... and hasn't stopped since. The first game that truly got him into gaming was Super Mario Bros 2 ... and he's got fond memories of getting upset because he was facing Wart and dying a lot and wondering if he would be able to do it with only 76 extra lives left. Mike feels as though he has a very eclectic taste, playing everything from puzzle games to survival horror. His favorite system used to be the PS2 ... but he covets the 360 above all others now.
Mike is 25 years old and currently resides in Florida where he works in television production. He often dreams of writing novels, short stories, or screenplays for money ... but knows that perhaps working on his career in production would be better suited for him. And he is currently working on a screenplay with Derek.
He got his nickname by always taking jokes just "One Step" too far ...

CHAD .................................
(The King Of Reading)
"I Read Books Every Day"
Chad is an English teacher in Japan, which seems more like study abroad than it does an actual job. Sometimes he actually does work, and impresses a coworker or two. He’s 24 years of age, speaks somewhat passable Japanese, and spends more time than he should probably admit playing videogames. In fact, during his first year back in Japan (he studied abroad four years ago), he went from having a PS2 and a PSP, to having everything in the current generation, including the dust collectors that are the Nintendo Wii and PS3. All of which is complemented by a very decent, mid-range home theatre. English teaching in Japan isn’t exactly lucrative, so he conjures up some strange magic in order to get the consoles to lift their trade embargoes to let him enjoy some “unregulated goods”.
Obviously Chad is a bit more of a hardcore gamer than most, simply due to the fact that one of the reasons he started learning Japanese was to be able to play games before they came out (assuming they would come out) in America, in glorious English. He’s almost there after completing some role-playing games in Japanese, but still feels that he’s got a long ways to go before he’s satisfied with his Japanese level. With no current plans to return back the states save for Christmas vacation, without a doubt he’ll be able to achieve his goals. After all, Achievements aren’t just for Xbox 360 games. Speaking of achievements, the other reason he took up Japanese was to enjoy what the female population of Japan has to offer. It’s a really good incentive to study, that’s for sure.
Chad’s love for games began when he was but a wee lad in Kindergarten. He came home from school one day to find his dad parked in front of the TV enjoying Top Gun, probably the hardest game ever for the NES. After putting in Mario and Duck Hunt, something happened to Chad, and videogames claimed his soul. He tried to give it up one year, but that was a bad idea because then he just had a years-worth of games to catch up on. His favorite game of all time has to be the Dance Dance Revolution series, with the Japanese arcade version of DDR Extreme and the PC's StepMania getting top honors. This helped Chad kick fats ass, if only an hour a day. It also started a massive collection of videogame music that litters his hard drive.
Chad plays many different types of games, but has a special place in his heart for rhythm games, insane shooters (Treasure, not id Software), and will fully admit that he’s a rabid Square fanboy. Some games that he won’t touch at all are racing games that don’t have F-Zero in the title. Also, it’s a pretty safe bet that all games that come out of Activision are trash.
Echoing Mike, Chad also doesn’t know what he ultimately wants to do. English teaching is probably not it though, that much he can say. Japanese on the other hand would be great, if it weren’t for all of the social misfits that can’t function in society that would inevitably take his classes. They would also be rightfully disappointed that their Japanese teacher would be a 6’4” man instead of a hot Japanese girl. Maybe he’ll just teach Elementary school, because they both seem to have about the same attention span.

D-Rock ...............................
(One-Take Derek)
"This is bullshit game and you're a bullshit friend."
Damon, or DMon is the resident wisenheimer of Headshot Radio. When he's not ranting about how great Bioshock is or questioning Eric's tenuous sexuality on Headshot Radio, Damon works part time for a video game retailer. He enjoys nothing more than listening to people tell him how great Saint's Row is or having soccer mom's yell at him because PS3 games don't play on GameCube.
Damon, like Mike, started gaming as wee lad on the Atari 2400. And is convinced that as a members of the first video game generation, he has truly reached the next level of evolution. He also doesn't know what he meant by that. Damon loves any game that is good but is partial to Action/RPG and Survival Horror, with RE 4, Chrono Trigger, KOTOR, and Bioshock being among his favorites.
Damon also enjoys writing, singing, reading, film, and playing guitar. His favorite movie is Kill Bill and his favorite person is you.
Damon actually cares about people, unlike his podcast cohorts, has an idea what he wants to do with his life. He recently finished college and is looking to work in the non-profit sector, in the inner city. Damon and his wife live in City, United States.

ERIC .............................
(God's Gift To Video Games)
"I Eat Pretentious Assholes "
Even though that Eric is accused of being "God's Gift to Video Games" he is just a typical average gamer. When compared to the other pod-jockeys his gaming time would be considered sub-par. What he lacks in gaming time, he makes up for with a wide-varierty of gaming interests, ranging from sports and FPSs, to adventures and Real-time strategies. There is nothing more satisfying to him than to getting Damon riled up based on commentary on the next great PC game.
His first experience with video games was typical starting off with the NES and classics such as Super Mario Bros 3, Contra, and Super Tecmo Bowl. This would lead to the SNES with such grandiose titles as Chrono Trigger, Mega Man X, and of course Super Punch Out. He continued his Nintendo fan boy trend with the N64. There would eventually also be a purchase of a Sega Dreamcast whose production would subsequently be halted only weeks after the purchase. This is the point where Eric's journey through video games differed from his fellow hosts. His interest grew and developed with PC games, in particular RTS games, with such great titles as Warcraft 1-3, Starcraft, the Civilization games, and Diablo 2. In his opinion there is no wrong that can be done by the Blizzard(which is why he quit WoW due to the amount of time is sucked out of his life). Only in the last year has he truly rejoined the ranks of regular console gamers with the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. Finally with this generation of systems, has console games' reestablished themselves with dominance over PC games.
Eric is soon to be married to most beautiful woman in the world and can't wait for the day to come. He now works a regular 5 day-a-week job after college and finds time for gaming to relax and have a great time. He also enjoys watching movies, hanging out with his various groups of friends, and getting mad at the tv when watching the University of Michigan football team.
He currently resides in Maryland where he works and lives with his fiancé.
