ACER to get into Video Game Consoles?

I’m not sure how reliable this story is ... or if it is more than a statement that someone said ... but it’s worth laugh. ACER getting into the console market seems like it would be a disaster. Let’s face it ... in the past ACER basically equals ASS. I’m not sure if things have changed for them in the past 10 years ... but I would never buy an ACER product unless I had to. And the fact that they bought Gateway is fitting ... seeing as though Gateway is relative crap as well.
The “Game Machine” will be PC based ... so I’m not sure what that entails. They promise an open system ... which will probably do nothing except usher in a WIDE variety of trash. I guess we’ll have to see ... but if Sega no longer makes systems ... I don’t see this working out for ACER.
